Sizing, fuel, installation, and compliance. Our commercial team responds within one business day.
Commercial sizing starts with a load calculation across every circuit you need to protect. A restaurant typically needs 40 to 80kW to cover refrigeration, cooking equipment, and HVAC together. A medical office runs 40 to 60kW. Large warehouses and data centers require 100kW and above. Contact our team for a load calculation specific to your facility before selecting a unit.
It depends on your building's electrical service. Single-phase 120/240V is standard in small offices, retail, clinics, and light commercial buildings. Our Briggs Fortress line covers 30kW to 60kW single-phase. Three-phase 120/208V or 277/480V is standard in larger commercial and industrial facilities with heavy motor loads, such as restaurants with large HVAC, warehouses, and data centers. Our Cummins RS line covers three-phase from 36kW to 150kW. Check your main electrical panel or utility bill, or send our team a photo and we will confirm which configuration fits.
Natural gas is the most common choice for commercial applications. It connects to the utility line, never runs out on-site, and carries the lowest operating cost. Propane works where natural gas infrastructure is not available and provides on-site fuel independence. Contact our team to discuss which is appropriate for your facility and local utility setup.
Yes. Commercial installations require building permits, electrical permits, and in many jurisdictions a fire marshal review under NFPA 110. Your installing contractor handles permitting and inspections. Fuel line connections require a licensed gas contractor. Our team can connect you with commercial installers in your area.
