Most systems support 2-6 additional battery modules, allowing you to customize capacity for specific applications without replacing your entire setup.

Applications and Use Cases

Start with a base configuration for weekend camping and expand to multi-day off-grid capacity. Add batteries for home backup during outages, powering essential appliances for 12-72 hours depending on total capacity. RV and van users can scale their system as electrical needs increase with added appliances and longer trips.

Capacity Planning

Base units typically range from 1024Wh to 3600Wh. Expansion batteries add 1-5kWh per module. Calculate your daily consumption in watt-hours and select a configuration that provides 1.5-2x your needs for optimal battery longevity. Most expandable systems use LiFePO4 chemistry rated for 3000-6000 charge cycles.

Charging Options

Expandable power stations support multiple input sources: AC wall charging (400-1800W), solar panels (200-1200W MPPT), and 12V vehicle charging. Parallel charging from multiple sources reduces recharge time for larger configurations. Solar input compatibility ranges from 12V-150V depending on model.
