The Briggs & Stratton PowerProtect 22kW Standby Generator delivers automatic backup power for your entire home during outages. Engineered with NGMax technology and a Vanguard® Commercial-Grade Engine, this standby generator provides 22kW on both natural gas and liquid propane at 91.7 amps running amperage.
Automatic Backup Power System
This standby generator automatically switches on during power outages, restoring electricity without manual intervention. The 100-amp circuit breaker handles 120/240 voltage, powering lights, appliances, HVAC systems, and medical equipment simultaneously. The 993cc Vanguard engine provides 45 kVA motor starting capability for smooth operation of large appliances during startup.
NGMax Technology for Natural Gas Performance
NGMax engineering delivers the highest rated power output on natural gas in its class. The generator connects to both liquid propane and natural gas fuel sources. At 50% load, fuel consumption measures 217,000 BTU/hr on liquid propane and 194,000 BTU/hr on natural gas.
Corrosion-Resistant Construction
The aluminum enclosure and base feature Dura-Zen™ coating for corrosion protection. Measuring 46.5" L x 26.8" W x 28.4" H and weighing 465 lbs, the generator operates at 68 dB(A) during normal use. Approved for installation as close as 18 inches to buildings with toolless panel removal for maintenance access.
InfoHub™ Remote Monitoring
Monitor generator status remotely via smartphone, tablet, or computer. The InfoHub system provides real-time updates on operation and service requirements. The Eco-Cise™ weekly test mode runs a 16-second diagnostic check to verify operational readiness while minimizing noise and fuel consumption.
