Why Choose the RIVER 3 Max over Traditional Gas Generators
Gas generators require constant fuel purchases, regular maintenance, and produce harmful fumes that can't be used indoors. The RIVER 3 Max operates silently at under 30dB, charges from solar panels for unlimited runtime, and works safely in your living room, RV, or tent.
Unlike smaller 300Wh units that barely power a laptop, the RIVER 3 Max's 572Wh capacity and 600W output handle real appliances like portable fridges, coffee makers, and power tools. EcoFlow has sold over 3 million portable power stations worldwide, with LiFePO4 batteries rated for over 3,000 charge cycles.
The professional-grade UPS functionality switches to battery power in under 10 milliseconds, protecting sensitive electronics that standard generators would damage with power fluctuations.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will the RIVER 3 Max run my refrigerator?
A typical 12V portable fridge drawing 45W will run for approximately 10-11 hours on a full charge. Larger household refrigerators (150-200W) will run for roughly 2.5-3.5 hours, enough to keep food safe during short outages while you assess the situation. Adding an extra compatible battery for 858Wh extends those times.
Is the RIVER 3 Max worth the investment compared to a gas generator?
The RIVER 3 Max eliminates ongoing fuel costs, requires zero maintenance, operates silently indoors, and provides over 3,000 charge cycles of reliable service. Gas generators require regular oil changes, fuel stabilizers, and can't be used safely in enclosed spaces like RVs or during indoor outages.
Can I charge the RIVER 3 Max while using it to power devices?
Yes, the RIVER 3 Max supports pass-through charging, allowing you to power devices while simultaneously charging the battery from AC, solar, or car outlets. This makes it perfect for extended use scenarios where you have intermittent charging opportunities.
Is the RIVER 3 Max one unit or two?
It comes as two pieces: the RIVER 3 Plus power station and an extra battery that stacks on top or below and connects without cables. The main unit has a carry handle and works on its own, and together the system gives you 572Wh.
How quiet is the RIVER 3 Max during operation?
At under 30dB, the RIVER 3 Max operates quieter than a whisper and won't disturb sleep or conversation. Unlike gas generators that produce 60-80dB of noise, you can run the RIVER 3 Max 24/7 in noise-sensitive environments like campgrounds or residential neighborhoods.
